Catherine gets Jamie to allow the horses frame to lengthen his frame a bit, not holding him together always, so compact. This is accomplished by pushing the hands forward and using the seat to push him toward the bit. Next they focus on getting the trot through and ground covering rather than alot of fancy knee action. Work on building a very nice trot and canter. Work on transitions from sitting to posting trot, emphasizing the need to immediately move with the horse as soon as you sit.
